One of my nieces loves to wear hats. At her High School graduation open house, a friend made "Hat" cakes. They looked so real!
Here is a photo of the Hat cakes & the rotating cup cake stand.
I found it hard to pick a favorite hat!
I also took time to experiment with duo & split-toned black & white editing of this "hat."

Last week, I went to a friend's house to photograph her swans & her gardens. She has two pair of swans: one white & one black. They are very graceful birds in the water. I hadn't been close to swans before.
I spent an evening & the next day, to make use of the evening light (the clouds made that a bit of a challenge at times), the early morning light & sunrise. I had a lot of fun being up early in the morning with my camera.
After I uploaded all the photos I took, I just had to edit a few of them. The above photo of the swans with the reflections on the pond & the one with the sun breaking through the trees as I was sitting in the garden were two I enjoyed taking & wanted to see how they turned out.
I am not a morning person, but getting up early & waiting for the sunrise was so peaceful. I enjoyed the cool morning air & the quiet.
When I complete the editing & posting of these new photos, I will share them with you.
Thank You & the Lord bless you.
